Yesterday, while visiting the City Gallery at Waterfront Park with out-of-town friends, I had the opportunity to meet Cuban-born artist, Reynier Llanes. I remembered him from a Charleston Artist Guild demonstration that he'd led, showing us his unique technique of using Cuban espresso to paint a new series.
